What is Maptool?
MapTool is a sophisticated yet easy to implement web-based Geographical Information System (GIS) that overcomes the challenges of spatially enabling business information in a simple, seamless and cost effective manner.
MapTool provides two end-user scenarios:
- 1. as a standalone browser-based solution (using Internet Explorer)
- 2. by embedding MapTool directly into an existing BI presentation environment such as a custom ASP.Net or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server solution. If integrated into a Microsoft SQL Server based BI environment MapTool Enterprise also includes the ability to manipulate business data within an Analysis Services OLAP Cube in order to dynamically render new spatial layers
